This questionnaire, directed to professionals involved in projects, aims to answer two main research questions: “What key project management practices and frameworks/models can be used to ensure sustainability in projects?”, and “What motivates project managers and their teams to incorporate sustainability in project management practice?”
In this study, sustainability goes beyond the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of the ‘Triple Bottom Line’ or ‘Triple-P’ (People, Plante, Profit) conceptualization, including other dimensions such as short-term and long-term orientation, local and global orientation, values and ethics, transparency and accountability, stakeholder orientation, etc. In light of these considerations, the definition for Sustainable Project Management used in this study is:
“Sustainable Project Management is the planning, monitoring and controlling of project delivery and support processes, with consideration of the environmental, economical, and social aspects of the life cycle of the project’s resources, processes, deliverables and effects, aimed at realizing benefits for stakeholders, and performed in a transparent, fair and ethical way that includes proactive stakeholder participation” (Silvius & Schipper, 2014).
This survey is divided into five parts, being:
- Part A - Sustainable Project Management Practices
- Part B - Sustainable Project Management Frameworks/Models
- Part C - Project Success: A Sustainability Perspective
- Part D - Key Factors for Sustainable Project Management
- Part E - Characteristics of the respondent and respondent's organization
Thank you for your valuable participation.
